Well, we seriously face a major problem here:
EA sucks (lol buy an online pass for used sports games where the master server gets shut down after 2 years)
Activision sucks (Bobby Kotick CEO who wants to to raise game prices and take all the fun out of making games)
Ubisoft sucks (ALWAYS ONLINE DRM SHIT)
Eidos got bought by Squeer Enix (weeabo FF 9000 rehash producers)

So, is Steam the only hope for PC gamers?
I hope ex-TurtleRock Valve will not have too much influence on Valve (lol L4D2 full price game instead of addon)

Wow you truly are an idiot... try reading it again... it says that i hate EA. anyways there are only a few games from them that i have bought, and those are the very rare games that I have some sort hope for EA... EA tries too hard to make too much money and they make some shitty games because of it.

Ubisoft is awesome

Ubisoft has made some good games (assassins creed, splinter cell)

I don't think console gamers really have a choice which publisher to buy ges form since ea and activison realese the big ones (dead space 2)

Another reason why I hate consoles, but I still luv them for the fact that I can play games on them that would rape my computer (bad company 2)

Well, other publishers have published good games,too.
But Splinter Cell Conviction sucks if you expected a game like the old Splinter Cell games from what I have heard.
And their new Online-all-the-time-you-wanna-play DRM with ubi.com accounts is just crap to fight the used game market, and NOT PIRATES, and it hurts only the paying customer who can not play when the servers are down.

And EA is losing customers for this kind of shit. Wanted to buy ME2, read about their Cerberus Code you need to buy if you get a used copy (to get the supposedly FREE DLC) , and the tons of different pre-order DLC you could only get 1 of, and while I do not intend to buy or sell used games, I did not buy it as a matter of principle. That fee for access to online play when you get a used copy is basically the same as the Cerberus networks stuff imho.

Splinter cell conviction is a fun game, but when compared to the old ones, it kinda sucks. O ya and i hate the ubi.com thing to, except the fact that i want to register so i can get access to the ghost recon beta.

And this EA thing where u need to pay an extra fee from used games to play online is really stupid,

Unless games are cheaper because the prices shrink due to the cold of the eternal ice of Norway, I am pretty sure it cost the equivalent of 50€ or 50$ at release.
Because it WAS sold at full price when it was first released, and that was the only problem with L4D2 I had. Would have probably bought it at release for 30€, but not for 50 :P

Hay guise, let's make a topic where people can war over how good or bad publishers and developers are, causing drama and baw.

Also, DRM is not as bad as it has been made out to be. perhaps I'm just lucky, but with games like AC, I never get disconnected from the servers and can't play.

Yes, EA sucks a dick, that's been known for about a decade now. But they mainly just publish games, maybe tacking on an extra gizmo for the OCD pricks that need their trinkets with every game.

I just try to enjoy the games I play for what they are, If I'm having an issue with DRM or some bull, I'll just DL one of the trillions of cracks there are available. I suppose if you play for mainly multiplayer, I can understand, But I have no issues with these games.

Also, I don't say a company sucks ass just because their internet service is a little wonky, typically I say they suck ass if they make games that suck ass.
