Steams A B*tch

So, uh... yeah...

Sorry for not being on Zombie master for the last week or 3, as you have probably guessed from the title... Steam is being a bitch to me.

Whenever i try to play ZM, it begins to load but never actually loads the game and when i try to play any other games on steam (including all source games), they just crash and cause steam to crash with it. I even have problems chatting and i have no clue what is going on...

Nothing seems to be going right for me lately -crys in the corner-

I also hate steam, because the friends list ALWAYS seems to be down, and in general there are a lot of problems with launching games and such. Even Scottish sonic is having problems.

It deletes my Favorite Servers list occasionally, takes forever to refresh a lot of game server lists (TFC takes up to 2 minutes to actually show anything), the Friends list is bugged up the ass, the ability to copy IPs in game info is gone for no reason and it installs gigantic bandwidth consuming updates to games I never play without my consent.

I don't like Steam either, but for some reason, It's better than most platforms I've tried so far.

Ever tried disabling automatic updates for those games ?

I Like Steam, i never have any of the problems that you described MoarToast (with the exception of fav servers list being deleted every so often), but recently Steam Just refuses to work.

I uninstalled and re-installed... It made no difference :(

Steam is awesome when it is not down, changing your name automatically to a name that you had for one day over 5 months ago (!!!!) and when it is not crashing.

Compare any game platform to steam, and you'll see how superior it is.

Anyway, try un-installing everything (+ deleting the steam folder) and clean up the registry.

reinstalling all of them, not delete.

Delete everything. Not worth having it if you can't play it.

Yes, and it still does it.

I'm daft, but I'm not that daft.

Also, yes, it is a nice platform. I want to like it but it refuses to let me like it. It really just needs a bit of patching up so that servers don't take forever to refresh.

Steam has been failing on me lately as well

You can all rejoice... No need to worry STEAM IS WORKING!!!! Finally got onto Zombie master for the first time in months. All my source games are working too now. I Fixed It all =D
