Cool story: Shot a Viper girl, she went flying into the air but was still alive. (no idea why, must have glitched). Went into VATS and shot her in mid-air, she EXPLODED mid-air.

Or sell a bunch of stuff so you have 2000 or more caps. Hint hint, you aren't PAYING 2000, they just see if you have 2000 or more.

New goal: Be able to kill deathclaws without dying.

I got this,too on monday and must say I am pleasantly surprised by it.
Just doing the best quest I found so far Beyond the Beef in the Ultra-Luxe Casino, I am not saying anything about it not to spoil it for people who have yet to play it.
Only disappointement for me was that there aren't that much songs in the radio, but I love "Big Iron".

Once, I decided to travel North along the Goodsprings road with signs saying "keep out," "go back," and the such.

"Hah, I see what Bethesda's trying to pull!" I thought.

And then I met my first swarm of Cazadores.

I noticed I hadn't gotten some achievemnts for which I met the requirements, and then did some forum reading and found out that apparently OPENING THE CONSOLE AT ALL DISABLES ACHIEVEMENTS UNTIL YOU RESTART THE GAME.
Not that I care that much about them, but I still find it lame that I miss out on achievements because I want to make some savegames with names other than "Save #XXX *Location* ".
EDIT: Or maybe that shit's just bugged.... well I was gonna gonna make a hardcore playthrough anyway after my first playthrough. (Although it's gonna be a pain in the ass for me with ammo having weight, I always tend to have SO MUCH stuff I wanna carry with me anyway.)

Cazadores are BULLSHIT.
I mean Deathclaws are nothing compared to them, and deathclaws looks far tougher and scarier than those stupid flies.

I';m used to the ammo-weight thing cause I played stalker a shit ton.

I usually just ditch most of it for an AR/Shotty/Melee weapon.

From that exact same experience, I recall I was hit TWICE (2 times), and subsequently had my head explode.

Damn NCR Ranger was a useless dickhead. I was dead before he even unholstered his weapon.

Well,I was wearing Remnant Power armor on level 23 and using This Machine (unique M1 Garand) and only survived with 1/3 of my HP when fighting a group of 3 young and 2 normal ones (they were some distance away so I got off the first shot).
With the Anti-Materiel rifle they are a LITTLE easier but still they only die in one hit if it'S a critical... (at a guns skill of 90).
At least I got Boone with me now, he's a good meatshield!

Eh, I don't usually carry around companions, since having them die on hardcore mode is a bit of a loss (I'm looking at you, ED-E). Usually, I just drag them around for their unique quests, or for say, that beret Boone gives you.

I guess I should go find some unique weapons, too, considering I just use a 9mm Pistol, Incinerator, and Cowboy Repeater for most of my combat. Pew-Pew is probably my best choice, since I'm spec'ed in science/energy weapons, and am nearing about 40 Star Bottle Caps.

I have officially completed my 3rd playthrough.
1st playthrough I originally was going to do all the quest, but ended up rushing through to the end. I went for a free vegas.

2nd playthrough I actually did do most (not all) the quests, and went with the NCR.

3rd playthrough, by far hardest, I went through and went with the Legion.

Weapon and skills:
1st: Guns, Science, Repair. Used mostly Anti-Material rifle.

2nd: Energy Weapons, Speech, Medicine, Survival. Used mostly Gauss gun. Got power armor training.

3rd: Explosives, Barter, Speech, Science. Used grenade machine gun for a while, JUST got a missle launcher before the final fight, but couldn't use it because I left it with ED-E (who wasn't with me). Ended up just using a Super Sledge. (Melee skill was 43)



I plan to do a 4th sometime, to go with Mr house or with Benny. Probably going to use Unarmed.

Hated spending A shit load of caps to repair my weapons and then buy ammo, Then have my weapons break and run out of ammo after two enemies
Hated getting attacked by super mutants where ever I went
Hated taking a shit load of damage from one enemy
Hated spending caps on a gun only to find out that I had the wrong ammo for it this whole time
Hated buying ammo
Hated getting radiation out of nowhere and then running out of simptaks
Hated enemys who charged at me when I had the grenade launcher, only to blow my self up

I eventually ended using cheat codes, but even then the game still wasn't fun
