NUUUUU!!!! Mirror's Edge was such a good game! It was an innovator in the FPS genre!

The only good company is Valve, deal with it. (and those nice indie companies that actually listen to their community)

Thats what a cool developer would do...

DICE for example. Bad Company 2 has the best sound design I've ever heard in a game and they don't re-use old shitty sounds all the time.
If they're making a new game, they record entirely new sounds.

How many skins are there?
How fucking customizable is it?

Yeah, don't fucking say DICE is better because of sounds. Sounds are sounds. Don't like the default source engine sounds? GO REPLACE THEM, CAUSE YOU CAN. (unlike certain games*cough cough BC2*)
And I bet you BC2 has sounds reused from BC1. I fucking bet you.

And just to throw this out there, I have YET to see a game with a physics engine comparable to Source.
Until I see another game where you can pick up a toilet and kill someone with it, its not as good as a Source game.

I liked the idea of replacing sounds or any files what so ever on punkbuster protected games.

That's like saying: Oh look, my entire car refuses to work, because they screwed over and ignition refuses to accept my car-keys.
But. I don't worry. Instead I'll go mod my car horn so at least it'll sound different and more awesome

Driving around is overrated anyways.


AND YEAH. HAVING A COPY OF SOURCE ENGINE INSTALLED, IS LIKE HAVING AN ENTIRE MOTOR SHOP FOR YOURSELF WHERE YOU CAN BUILD YOUR OWN CARS OR TRUCKS OR PLANES OR SPACESHIPS EVEN.
and add/change their sounds then, too.

Well duh they did, I played both games, and besides every developer does that. Its just that DICE does it and gets away with cause the sound effects ARE SO FUCKING GOOD that you don't even care if the re-used them from another game. Valve on the other hand, meh \

And seeing that were on the subject of Sound effects, I'm just gonna say the Dead Space 2 has the greatest sound design EVER.

But yeah.. EA made Dead Space! I <3 them for that, as well as the fact that they're making Crysis 2. ^-^ I've never played Mirror's Edge tho. Also, IMO, greatest console devs have to be Naughty Dog, Media Molecule, and Insomniac Games. Greatest PC devs are Monolith, Frictional Games, and Valve. Greatest indie dev is That Game Company.

Mirrors edge was hands down the best game I have ever played in terms of pure gameplay, why EA denied a sequel, is beyond me. Just didnt sell well enough I guess. Money grabbing bastards.

They have games with an expiring online pass now, and people even bought new games and their included pass was expired already. o_O
