Sammy's Servers ZM OLD MAPS NOSTALGIA!

As autumn falls, and leaves turn to all the nice shades of brown.
With outside temperatures dropping, rainy weather, storms making you hide inside, warming yourself in front of the fireplace, sipping on a nice cup of strawberry+mallow+coconut tea.

It's time for some nostalgia!

So I dug up some old ZM maps. And turned server #1 into a ZM OLD MAPS NOSTALIGA! one.

Some maps are really good, like lifeline, zebra, fcfc_ftw_2.
Brings back many memories of better times past *hachseufz*
And I can't even remember why we don't play them any more.
Others might crash, we'll find out.

Here is a huge map pack file, containing all the maps I uploaded to the server:

Extract into your zombie_master/maps folder.

Or you just join the NOSTALGIA server, and let the game download maps.

Now this is VERY IMPORTANT!:
I didn't spend my entire afternoon on collecting, packing, uploading maps and put them into place, just for some morons to ruin everything. Just because they can't resist glitching or exploiting.
Some maps are really good and fun to play ones. If played properly. One idiot is enough to ruin the fun for everyone.
And right the first map we played, zm_zebra, I already had to ban 3(!) guys who tried to glitch win the map early. ALTHOUGH I have told them not to before.
So if you can't play the maps like they are intended to be played. Don't join.
And don't let yourself get caught glitching maps, I will be especially upset when I see my work wasted by a few morons who can't think for themselves and ruin it for everyone else.

If however, you want to support my work, and report map glitchers.
I'll be happy to look at screenshots of people glitching you provide me with.
And don't forget to get their steam id's too, by typing 'status' into your console.

We stopped playing that one because there is a glitch that allows people to point farm extremely easily.

However, I thank you for bringing these maps back, it does indeed bring memories, such as zm_ship that is a lot of fun, or donkey.

And didn't zm_basin crash the server?
(lifeline was the "lol go afk and farm points" map)
zm_hospital, can that even be won? It seemed rther unfinished to me.

zm_bathroom always crashed the server. Don't know if it was the "final_fixed" version that crashed it, but you should remove it at once if it crashes.

Also, winchester was (and still is) the best map. (If you ignore the fps issues and easily glitching)

If anyone wants to suggest another map or two I missed, and wants it uploaded.

zm_winchester is one of my most favourite maps too. Brings back a lot of good memories. Unfortunately also bad ones .. It's really a shame I had to remove it just because of some stupid people.

zm_basin crashes, if the ZM uses one of the last zombie spawns near the boat.

zm_zebra still can be glitched, and people still are morons.

zm_lifeline is a fun map and can be exploited, yes.
I always had much fun playing it though, and like this map a lot.
Therefore (and other reasons) I found it fit a zm nostalgia event.

zm_hospital is unfinished and silly, yes. I might remove it.

zm_bathroom can crash too. Not as bad as it used to though, like right the very first seconds it started. Now it can be played a few rounds with luck, before it crashes xD

So yeah. There are downsides to everything. But the fun of playing old maps for a change, some of them really good, out weights the downsides in my opinion.
If it turns out players can't appreciate what I did there, and start point farming or glitching again. Well then I will have to remove all those nice maps again.
And we're back to crocV5 24/7.

Thanks to Psycho's awesome work, we fixed 2 crash maps, and he fixed zm_lifeline too:DDDDDD
zm_basin_b3 + zm_bathroom_final_fixed, both should work now without crashing!

Furthermore both versions of zm_lifeline can't hopefully be exploited to pointfarm anymore.
So I could re-add what is one of my TOP 5 favorite maps, thanks a lot Psycho :DD

Now to go for zm_zebra and add a auto ban for all glitchers :S

Isn't zm_zebra the map where you could just slide down that wall (45 degrees ish) to get to the end?
I'll try to "draw" it. Will upload suggestions n stuff later.

Anyway, whatever map this is, here's a way of stopping glitchers from finishing the map.

I would have used real screenshots if my computer worked. At least TRY to remember what map this is.

Yep, that's zm_zebra.
And adding a pushthing through a plugin was right what I wanted.
(Or even better, a auto ban logic xD)

But silly steam made coding (+testing) new stuffs incredibly harder for me, with entirely deleting source dedicated server from it's "Tools" tab.

Good job valve, and thanks a bunch for not even letting us know.

Now I will have to re-install dedicated server, which of course means re-downloading stuffs, filling up my hdd. Then adding sm+mm and everything. Fun.

Damn it... This had to be the weekend were we played all the awesome old maps... Why did I have to be on a mini vacation! Why!!!

I think it's still going on isn't it? I was just on the server with memo and fiber a few hours ago.

It's most likely gonna keep going until to many idiots glitch the maps and Indigo gets bored of dealing with them
