New Steam Beta = New loosing friends list?

I haven't been on my windows partition to see if the friends list problem was fixed. Yet I guess now most of us being opt in for beta trials is either our fault or good ole' steam trying out a beta... Link: http://store.steampowered.com/news/3501/

It's funny how the word "beta" is being associated with the phrase "fuck up". Don't blame us it's beta!

In all regard Cherry will like this part:

I just like the timeline of a screw up so close to a "beta" talk... What happened to alpha or before GM? :(

That beta sucks. I got no text on the drop-down menus ( like File/View/Games , or on the menus to invite a friend to caht or to a group.), plus it seems kinda slow with all the pictures. I had to blindly try out all buttons in the Steam menu to stop aprticipating in the beta due to the missing text.

Just as along as i can play Jedi academy, then I'm fine

I personally really like this new beta UI, and the fact that they finally changed from the shitty IE rendering engine is really awesome! Unfortunately, although most of my friends were returned after yesterday's "bug", there a few which haven't, such as Psycho, Blue, Red, Bartender, Sparky and L33T :P

its not as cool as my current steam skin, i'll wait til its out of beta, or at least til someone makes a nice darker skin for it.
